Piglets Nursing in the New Pig Yard

This morning while doing my rounds I got a good shot of the piglets starting to nurse out in the grass of the new electrically fenced in pig yard. Enjoy!

It is nice to finally get to enjoy the rewards of all the frustration we've been through with this mama pig. She respects the electric fence greatly, and it gives me a lot of hope that we'll be able to do a whole field's worth of electric fencing for our pigs. A lot of the reason I wanted to raise some pigs was to see if I could raise them in an old school way where they could enjoy their natural instincts to root and wallow and run wild in the field; we're finally getting there.
